Dynova Serial Parallel I/O Card 6x5x1 ISA Bus DB25 RS-232 Parallel Port PC

The Dynova 6x5x1 is an ISA bus serial/parallel I/O expansion card providing RS-232 serial and parallel port connectivity for IBM PC/AT-compatible desktop computers. The card mounts two DB25 female connectors on a full-height bracket and uses UMC controller chipset ICs to manage serial and parallel I/O operations. It is manufactured in Taiwan and carries Dynova part/serial number 39024468.

Applications

ISA serial/parallel I/O cards like this Dynova 6x5x1 were standard expansion hardware for IBM PC/XT/AT-class computers and ISA-bus compatibles of the late 1980s and early 1990s. They gave systems additional COM (RS-232) and LPT (parallel) ports beyond those built into the motherboard — used for connecting serial mice, modems, external drives, label printers, dot-matrix printers, plotters, and industrial or lab instruments with RS-232 or Centronics interfaces. The ISA bus was the dominant PC expansion standard from the mid-1980s through the mid-1990s before PCI took over; this card dates from that era and is compatible with any system that has an open ISA slot. Today these cards see continued use in legacy industrial automation, CNC machine control, and vintage computing restoration where ISA-based hardware must remain operational.

This Dynova Serial/Parallel I/O Card (6x5x1) has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The PCB is clean with no visible cracking, burnt components, or damage to the traces. The two DB25 bracket connectors look intact and undamaged. Normal light handling wear is present on the bracket. The card was pulled from a working environment.
