Dell H3823 ATI Radeon X300 128MB PCIe Video Card DMS-59 Full Height

Dell H3823 ATI Radeon X300 128MB PCIe Video Card DMS-59 Full Height

The Dell H3823 is a full-height PCI Express video card built around the ATI Radeon X300 GPU. It features 128 MB of DDR memory and outputs via a single DMS-59 connector, which supports dual-monitor output when used with the appropriate DMS-59 to dual-DVI or dual-VGA adapter. The card carries no active cooling — a passive aluminum heatsink handles thermals quietly and reliably.

Applications

The ATI Radeon X300 was a mid-2000s entry-level PCIe GPU, commonly shipped as the OEM graphics solution in Dell OptiPlex, Dimension, and Precision desktop systems of that era. It was designed for standard business and office use — 2D desktop display, light multimedia, and dual-monitor productivity setups via the DMS-59 port. The DMS-59 connector is a Dell-favored compact output that carries two DVI or VGA signals over a single connector; a split adapter cable is needed to connect one or two monitors. The Radeon X300 succeeded the older AGP-based Radeon 9200 series and was among the first generation of ATI cards on the PCIe platform. Today these cards are primarily used as drop-in replacements for original Dell system builds, legacy system maintenance, or low-power secondary display cards in systems where a modern GPU is unnecessary.
