Applications

The CardScan Plus 300 was part of Corex Technologies' CardScan line — one of the earliest and most widely adopted dedicated business card scanning systems for Windows PCs in the mid-to-late 1990s. It connects through the PC's parallel port (passing through to the printer, so no port is sacrificed) and uses the bundled CardScan software to perform OCR on scanned cards, parsing names, titles, phone numbers, addresses, and email into organized contact records. The software supported export to popular contact managers and PIMs of the era, including ACT!, GoldMine, Outlook, and Palm devices.
