ComStream ABR200 Digital Audio Broadcast Receiver Rackmount 1U 100-240V
The ComStream ABR200 is a 1U rackmount Digital Audio Broadcast Receiver designed to receive and decode satellite-delivered audio programming. It accepts an RF input signal, demodulates and decodes the digital audio stream, and outputs the recovered audio and associated data through a set of rear-panel connectors. The front panel provides at-a-glance status via LED indicators for Power, RF Sync, Audio Sync, Signal, RF Fault, and CPU Fault.

Applications
The ComStream ABR200 belongs to a class of satellite audio broadcast receivers widely used in the 1990s and early 2000s for distributing high-quality audio programming via satellite to radio stations, cable headends, and broadcast affiliates. These receivers were a core component in satellite radio distribution networks, allowing broadcasters to downlink digitally encoded audio feeds — such as syndicated programming, network news, and music channels — from a satellite transponder and deliver them to local on-air equipment. ComStream (later acquired by Radyne Corporation) was a recognized manufacturer of professional satellite modems and receivers used throughout the broadcast industry. The ABR200 would typically be installed in a rack alongside other broadcast infrastructure, interfacing with automation systems and audio routing equipment via its relay/control and data ports. Units like this remain in use in legacy broadcast facilities and are also sought for integration into private or low-power satellite audio distribution systems.
This ComStream ABR200 Digital Audio Broadcast Receiver is in used condition. The unit was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The front panel shows light surface wear and scuffing typical of used rack equipment; the chassis top has some discoloration and minor oxidation. All rear connectors — including the RF IN/OUT BNC ports, Audio Out, AUX, Relay/Control, Data, and M&C ports — appear intact with no obvious damage. The unit has not been powered up or tested at our facility. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
