Compaq 41U 19" Rackmount Server Cabinet Enclosure Open Back 29x18x72 w/ Shelf
This is a Compaq 41U 19" floor-standing rackmount cabinet designed to house servers, switches, patch panels, and other standard 19" rackmount equipment. The cabinet features a full-height perforated mesh front door with a locking handle and a standard EIA 19" rail system with square-hole mounting rails on all four vertical uprights. The back of the cabinet is open (the rear door is absent), which allows for easy rear cable access and airflow. A four-wheel caster base is installed at the bottom for mobility on the data center floor.

Applications
41U floor-standing rackmount cabinets are standard enclosures in data centers, server rooms, network closets, and IT infrastructure environments. A 41U cabinet provides enough vertical space to house a dense mix of 1U and 2U servers, network switches, patch panels, KVM switches, and power distribution units (PDUs) in a single organized enclosure. The open-back configuration is common in environments where rear cable management is handled externally or where maximum airflow through the rear is preferred. Compaq (later absorbed into HP) produced these cabinets as companions to their ProLiant server lines during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and they remain fully compatible with any standard 19" rackmount equipment today. The rolling caster base makes it practical to reposition the cabinet without fully unloading it, which is useful during lab buildouts or equipment moves.
This Compaq 41U 19" Rackmount Cabinet has been inspected and is in good overall condition. The front perforated mesh door is present and intact. The back door is missing and no key is included. The interior rails, frame, and uprights are all present and in good shape. One vented rack shelf is included and mounted inside. The rolling caster base is intact with all four casters functional. The floor of the interior shows some dust and surface grime from prior use, and the overall cabinet shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with a used data center environment.
