Applications
The Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series is one of the most widely deployed Layer 2 fixed-configuration access switches in enterprise, campus, and SMB networking. The WS-C2960-24TT-L variant — with 24 Fast Ethernet ports and dual Gigabit uplinks — is a standard wiring-closet switch designed to aggregate desktop and IP phone connections and uplink to a distribution-layer switch or router. The LAN Base IOS image supports VLAN configuration, Rapid STP, port-based QoS, 802.1x authentication, and Cisco's Smart Port technology. The 2960 series was introduced in the mid-2000s and remained in mainstream production through the early 2010s; these switches are now common in the secondary market, widely used in small business networks, home labs, VoIP deployments, and legacy enterprise environments where Gigabit-to-the-desktop is not required. The dual Gigabit uplinks allow the switch to connect at full 1 Gbps to a core or distribution layer while serving 24 Fast Ethernet access connections at the edge.
This Cisco WS-C2960-24TT-L Catalyst 2960 Series managed network switch was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. It has been visually inspected and photographed. The chassis shows normal wear for used rack equipment — minor scuffing on the top and side surfaces. The front-panel LEDs (SYST, RPS, STAT, DUPLX, SPEED) are all illuminated green in the photos. The rear label confirms hardware version V02 and IOS version 12.2(25)SEE2.
