Applications
This card type was used to add parallel printer support to IBM PS/2 MicroChannel systems that lacked onboard LPT ports. Commonly installed in 1980s and early 1990s IBM PS/2 computers to enable connection to standard dot-matrix and laser printers. Compatible with any printer supporting Centronics or IEEE 1284 parallel protocol.
