Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This AeroTech ATS-301 manual linear positioning stage is being sold as-is for parts or repair. The stage carriage moves outward (away from home) normally with clockwise knob rotation, but does not retract on its own with counter-clockwise rotation — manual hand pressure must be applied to the carriage while turning the knob counter-clockwise to return it toward the base. This indicates a fault in the return/preload mechanism (likely the lead screw nut or spring preload), and the unit is therefore not suitable for precision positioning use in its current state without service. The stage is otherwise physically complete — the aluminum tabletop, black anodized body, micrometer spindle, and mounting hardware are all present and intact. Cosmetically the unit shows typical used wear consistent with lab service. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
