Description
45 Degree Aluminum Optics Block 1" Port 0.25" Mounting Holes Mirror Mount Lab
This is an unbranded 45-degree anodized aluminum optics block used to redirect or steer a laser or optical beam at a 90-degree angle via a fixed or adjustable 45-degree mirror. The block body is machined from solid aluminum with a black anodized finish and accepts a 1-inch diameter optical port tube. The mirror element is retained inside the tube by two set screws on top of the block and can be rotated to adjust beam direction or removed entirely for cleaning or replacement.

Applications
45-degree optics blocks like this one are standard components in laser beam routing setups on optical benches and breadboards. They redirect a collimated beam by 90 degrees — for example, turning a horizontal beam to vertical, or routing light around an obstacle in an optical path. They are used in laser alignment, interferometry, spectroscopy, laser cutting and engraving development rigs, and general photonics research. The 1-inch port format is a common standard in laboratory optics, compatible with many commercial lens tube and cage system components. The removable, rotatable mirror allows the user to fine-tune beam direction or swap mirror coatings (e.g., broadband silver, gold, or dielectric) to suit different laser wavelengths. Mounting hole spacing on 4.25-inch centers fits standard optical breadboard hole patterns, making this block straightforward to integrate into an existing optical layout.
This 45-degree aluminum optics block has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working optical lab environment. The anodized black finish shows some light surface scuffing on the rear face, visible in the photos, but the block itself is structurally sound with no cracks or damage. The optical port is clear and the mirror insert is present, rotates, and is retained by the set screws. The base mounting flanges and mounting holes are intact.
