Applications
Wilden M2 AODD pumps are workhorses in chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, mining, food and beverage production, and laboratory fluid transfer. Because they are air-driven and have no rotating seals or motor, they are inherently safe in hazardous or explosion-risk environments and can run dry without damage. The PTFE diaphragm and valve configuration makes this particular unit especially appropriate for acids, solvents, caustics, and other aggressive fluids that would attack standard elastomers. Wilden pioneered the air-operated diaphragm pump design in the 1950s, and the M2 series has been a standard in small-volume chemical transfer applications for decades. The self-priming design handles slurries and viscous fluids well, and the straightforward construction makes it easy to rebuild in the field — a key reason surplus Wilden pumps remain in high demand.
This Wilden M2 Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump (model M2/ST/TF/TF/ST) was pulled from a working industrial environment where it was previously in service. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility. The orange body shows normal wear consistent with industrial use. The air valve inlet fitting shows some oxidation, and the threaded fluid ports appear clean and intact. The unit dates from August 1990 per the data plate.
