Analog thermocouple temperature indicator panel gauge manufactured by Wheelco Instruments Division. Displays temperature readings from 0 to 600°C on an illuminated arc-scale meter movement.

Applications

Amplitrol gauges were used in industrial process control and monitoring systems where direct thermocouple temperature measurement was required. This Wheelco Instruments Division (Barber-Colman) 152 Amplitrol temperature indicator has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition overall. The black painted steel enclosure shows surface wear, scuffing, and minor scratches consistent with age and previous industrial use — visible on the sides and rear of the housing. The front panel and meter face are intact; the arc-scale dial is legible and the glass (or acrylic) cover is present. A hardwired AC power cord is attached, terminating in a 3-prong plug.
