Rolling cart-based video conferencing system designed for corporate and institutional telepresence. Combines camera, audio processing, codec, and control hardware for point-to-point and multipoint conferencing over ISDN lines.

Applications

The VTEL WG500 was deployed in office and conference room environments for remote meetings and training sessions via ISDN connectivity. The system is compatible with VTEL WG500 and VTEL500 platforms and was standard in enterprise telepresence setups from the late 1990s through early 2000s. Camera control and audio management allowed operators to conduct two-way video communication with remote participants.
