Applications

The Visioneer PaperMax was designed specifically for Apple Macintosh systems, compatible with Mac G3 and older Mac platforms from the mid-to-late 1990s. Visioneer was a prominent name in consumer document scanning during this era, known for sheet-fed scanners aimed at home and small-office Mac users. The PaperMax used a proprietary interface rather than the SCSI connections common on earlier Mac scanners, and was bundled or paired with Visioneer's PaperPort document management software. Today this scanner is sought by collectors and enthusiasts maintaining vintage Mac setups, as well as anyone needing a period-correct peripheral for a G3-era or earlier Macintosh system.
