Applications
DDS-2 cartridges were widely used for backup and archival storage in enterprise and mid-range computing environments throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Compatible with DDS-2 DAT (Digital Audio Tape) drives found in server backup systems, workstations, and dedicated backup appliances. Suitable for data preservation and retrieval from legacy systems still maintaining DDS-2 drive hardware.
