Description

Glass Hydrometer Aerometer Set of 3 Density 0.90-2.10 1.75-1.80 1.80-2.00

This lot of three glass hydrometers (aerometers) covers three distinct specific gravity / liquid density ranges: 0.90 to 2.10, 1.80 to 2.00, and 1.750 to 1.800. Each instrument is a traditional glass float-type hydrometer with a weighted bulb end and a long graduated stem carrying a printed paper scale, used to measure the density of liquids by the depth to which the instrument sinks when floated in the sample.

Specifications & What's Included

  • Quantity: 3 glass hydrometers / aerometers
  • Material: Glass with weighted metal ballast bulb and printed graduated scale insert
  • Measurement: Liquid density / specific gravity (g/mL)
  • Hydrometer 1 – Density range: 0.90 to 2.10
  • Hydrometer 2 – Density range: 1.80 to 2.00
  • Hydrometer 3 – Density range: 1.750 to 1.800
  • Scale markings legible on all three instruments (confirmed in photos)

Applications

Glass hydrometers of this type are standard tools in chemistry labs, quality control, and industrial process settings for measuring the specific gravity of liquids — acids, bases, electrolytes, brines, plating solutions, battery electrolyte, and other chemical solutions. The overlapping density ranges in this set make it useful for dense liquids such as sulfuric acid solutions, concentrated brines, and heavy industrial fluids. Hydrometers in the 1.75–2.10 range are commonly used in battery electrolyte testing, metal finishing/plating baths, and chemical manufacturing where concentrated acid or salt solutions are routinely monitored. The broader 0.90–2.10 instrument provides a single-instrument overview across a wide range, while the two narrower-range instruments allow finer resolution readings in the 1.75–2.00 zone.

Condition: Used
This set of 3 glass hydrometers (aerometers) has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. All three instruments are intact with no visible cracks or chips to the glass stems or bulbs. The printed graduation scales are present and legible on all three, as shown in the close-up photos. Normal handling wear may be present.
