Applications
14-inch VGA and SVGA CRT monitors were standard desktop displays throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, driven by the rapid expansion of IBM-compatible PC computing in offices, schools, and homes. VGA (Video Graphics Array) was introduced by IBM in 1987 and became the baseline display standard; SVGA (Super VGA) extended resolution to 800×600 and above and dominated through the mid-to-late 1990s. CRT monitors of this era are still sought today for use with vintage and retro computing systems — including DOS-era PCs, early Windows machines, and legacy industrial or point-of-sale terminals — where the analog VGA signal, scan rates, and response characteristics of a CRT are required or preferred over modern flat panels. A pallet lot like this suits resellers, vintage computer collectors, prop houses, theatrical productions requiring period-accurate displays, and small businesses or schools maintaining legacy systems.
This lot of 36 14" VGA/SVGA CRT monitors from various manufacturers — including Compaq, Dell, Samsung, and Tatung — has been tested and the units are reported to be in working order. Some monitors have minor cosmetic flaws such as yellowed plastic cases or missing tilt/swivel bases; buyers should expect normal wear consistent with used office equipment. The pallet is sold as a complete lot, as-is. Photos show a representative mix of units; the exact brand distribution of the delivered pallet may vary.
