Applications
The US Robotics Sportster series was among the most widely used internal modem lines of the mid-1990s, popular in home and small-office PCs running DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and early Windows 98. These 8-bit ISA modem cards connect to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) for dial-up internet access, fax transmission, and bulletin board system (BBS) connectivity. The dual RJ-11 bracket allows one jack to connect to the wall line and a second for pass-through to a telephone handset.
