Applications
Magnetic stripe readers of this type were used in point-of-sale, access control, and data collection systems. The wedge design allows the reader to integrate between a keyboard and host computer. This United Barcode Industries (UBI) Magscan 0-155002-63-01 magnetic stripe wedge reader has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The housing shows light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with normal use, but is intact with no cracks or breaks. The magnetic read slot and both RJ-style interface connectors on the bottom are present and appear undamaged. Internal photos show the PCB and JOMS MR-2105-002 read head are intact.
