Applications

The PA2484U was produced by Toshiba Corporation and is compatible with a range of late-1990s to mid-2000s Toshiba Satellite, Tecra, and Portégé notebook models that used 15V DC power input. Toshiba used the PA2484U designation across several product generations, making it a commonly sought replacement adapter for users maintaining older Toshiba laptops. The universal input range means it works on standard 120V North American outlets as well as 240V systems found in Europe, Asia, and elsewhere — useful for travelers or those sourcing a spare. The C7 figure-8 AC inlet was standard on Toshiba laptop adapters of this era; a compatible two-prong AC cord (IEC 60320 C7) is needed to complete the connection to a wall outlet.
