Applications

The Toshiba Satellite 320CDT belongs to the mid-to-late 1990s generation of consumer/business multimedia laptops, dating from approximately 1997–1998 when the Intel Pentium MMX was the mainstream mobile processor. Machines like this were positioned as all-in-one portable workstations capable of running Windows 95 or Windows 98, and were among the first laptop lines to integrate a CD-ROM drive, sound system, and USB connectivity in a single portable chassis. Today the Satellite 320CDT is sought by vintage computing collectors and enthusiasts who run period-correct software, DOS-era games, and legacy business applications. It is also useful for anyone maintaining or demonstrating late-1990s software in its native hardware environment. The absence of an operating system makes it straightforward to install the buyer's preferred period OS.
