Applications
The PA2438U was Toshiba's original power adapter for early-to-mid 1990s Portege and Satellite notebook lines, dating from approximately 1996 based on the date code visible on the label. These adapters were standard equipment with Portege 600 and 650 series and various Satellite models of that era that used the 15V barrel-plug power interface. The wide-range 100–240V input makes this adapter compatible with international power grids when used with an appropriate outlet adapter. Replacement OEM adapters for these older Toshiba notebooks are increasingly hard to find, making this a practical replacement part for users maintaining these legacy machines.
This Toshiba PA2438U AC Adapter has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The adapter body, DC output cable, and barrel plug connector all appear intact with no visible damage. The separate AC power cord is included. Normal handling wear may be present — please review all photos for details. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
