The ThermoTek T255P is a compact, solid-state recirculating chiller that uses thermoelectric (Peltier) technology to provide precise, programmable liquid temperature control for heating and cooling applications. It features a digital LCD display, front-panel controls, a brushless DC centrifugal pump, and an RS-232 serial interface for computer-controlled operation. The unit accepts universal AC input voltage, making it compatible with both North American and international power systems without a transformer.

Applications
Solid-state recirculating chillers like the T255P are used wherever stable, programmable liquid temperature control is needed in a compact, portable package. Common applications include cooling laser diodes, CCD/CMOS imaging sensors, RF power amplifiers, and other heat-generating electronic components; temperature-controlled sample stages in optical and electron microscopy; reaction temperature control in chemistry and pharmaceutical lab work; and burn-in or thermal cycling of electronic assemblies during testing. Because the T255P uses Peltier thermoelectric modules rather than a compressor, it produces no vibration and very little acoustic noise — an important advantage in vibration-sensitive optical, metrology, and semiconductor lab environments. The RS-232 interface allows integration with automated test equipment (ATE) setups and data acquisition systems for fully computer-controlled thermal management. The universal voltage input makes it straightforward to use internationally or to move between facilities without voltage adapters.
This ThermoTek T255P Solid State Recirculating Chiller has been tested at our facility and is fully functional — it cooled from 27.0°C down to 3.0°C in under 10 minutes during testing. The unit powers on normally and the LCD display and controls respond correctly. You may notice a 'Low Coolant Level' alarm in our photos; the reservoir was empty during photography, which is expected and not a defect. Cosmetically the unit is in good used condition with normal surface wear typical of lab equipment.
