The Tektronix Phaser 350 was part of Tektronix's Phaser line of solid ink color printers, introduced in the 1990s and aimed at business users who needed vibrant, consistent color output at relatively low cost per page compared to early color laser printers. Solid ink technology — in which waxy color ink sticks are melted and jetted onto a drum before being transferred to paper — produced rich, saturated color and generated very little waste compared to toner cartridges.
