It connects to any oscilloscope or plug-in unit with a 1-megohm input resistance and an input capacitance between 15 and 47 pF. This example includes the original 013-0071-00 screw-on tip accessory.

Applications

The 100X attenuation reduces the signal seen by the scope input by a factor of 100, allowing the oscilloscope to measure signals that would otherwise exceed its direct input range. This Tektronix P6009 100X Passive Probe has been pulled from a working environment and inspected. The probe body shows typical light handling wear; the teal grip and gray probe body are intact with no cracks or breaks. The internal compensation circuit is intact and accessible, and the gold-threaded screw contact at the probe tip appears clean and undamaged.
