Description
Tektronix 2230 100MHz Digital Storage Oscilloscope GPIB IEEE-488 w/ Manual
The Tektronix 2230 is a dual-channel 100 MHz combined digital and analog storage oscilloscope from Tektronix's 2200 series. It captures waveforms in both real-time analog mode and digital storage mode, allowing users to freeze, store, and recall transient signals on its CRT display. The rear-panel GPIB (IEEE-488) interface enables full remote programmability and integration into automated test systems.

Applications
The Tektronix 2230 was introduced in the mid-1980s as part of Tektronix's 2200 series — a line of portable, battery-optionable benchtop oscilloscopes that bridged traditional analog oscilloscopy with early digital storage capability. At the time, combining both modes in a single portable instrument was a significant advantage: engineers could view signals in familiar analog persistence mode or switch to digital storage to capture single-shot and low-repetition-rate events. The GPIB interface made the 2230 well-suited for integration into IEEE-488 automated test and measurement systems common in production, R&D, and calibration labs of the era. Today the 2230 remains useful for general-purpose electronics troubleshooting, educational lab work, vintage equipment servicing, and any bench application where a 100 MHz analog/digital oscilloscope with GPIB capability is needed. Its wide input voltage range (90–250V AC, 48–440 Hz) makes it usable worldwide.
This Tektronix 2230 100MHz Digital Storage Oscilloscope has been inspected and is in good used condition. One of the front-panel level (intensity/focus) plastic knobs has a cosmetic crack; this does not affect operation. The unit powered on during photography, with the CRT display showing a menu screen. Overall the instrument presents well for its age, with the typical light wear you'd expect on a benchtop oscilloscope that has been in regular use. The soft carry case and original operator manual are included. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
