Applications
The Ultra Enterprise 450 was designed for mid-range Unix workloads, database management, and server applications in corporate environments. Compatible with the E450 platform, it historically supported Solaris-based infrastructure. Systems of this class were used for file serving, application hosting, and compute tasks in the late 1990s to early 2000s.

This Sun Microsystems Ultra Enterprise 450 Workgroup Server is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair due to age and overall condition. The unit is not guaranteed functional and has not been tested. Known cosmetic and mechanical issues include: the hinged CD-ROM/floppy bay cover is missing, the main front door does not latch or stay closed, and the chassis shows dings and scratches consistent with its age. The installed hardware is documented and present (see Specifications), and photos show the interior components, drive bays, and rear panel in detail.
