Applications

Variacs are commonly used in laboratory and industrial settings to test equipment sensitivity to voltage fluctuations, condition power supplies during startup, and operate devices designed for different voltage standards. This unit was historically used in telecom and electronics test environments for controlled voltage supply during equipment diagnostics and maintenance procedures.

Condition: Used
This Staco 3PN500B Adjust-A-Volt variable autotransformer is in used condition and shows its age cosmetically. The green crinkle-finish cast housing has areas of paint loss, surface oxidation, and general wear consistent with bench use over many years. Surface rust is visible on the base mounting feet and in spots along the lower housing. The top dial and knob are intact and turn freely. The toggle power switch and red pilot indicator are present. The output binding post terminals and AC input line cord appear complete. The unit has not been powered up or tested at our facility but came out of a working lab environment.
