The Sony UP-1200A is a desktop dye-sublimation color video printer — part of Sony's Mavigraph line — designed to produce full-color hard-copy prints directly from video sources. It accepts both S-Video and composite BNC input signals, captures a video frame, and prints it using a dye-sublimation ribbon cartridge. A Sony UPC-1010DP color ribbon cartridge (cyan, magenta, yellow panels) is installed in this unit, and the printer produces good test prints from DVD input. Note: the flip-down access door used to load and unload the ribbon cartridge has a broken hinge on its right side; the door functions but does not close fully flush.
