Applications
The Sony SLV-N60 is a mid-1990s consumer VHS VCR from Sony's mid-range SLV-N lineup. VHS decks like this one are used today primarily for playing back legacy home video tapes — family recordings, home movies, and commercially released VHS titles from the 1980s and 1990s that haven't made it to digital formats. They are also popular among VHS-to-digital transfer enthusiasts who use a VCR paired with a video capture card to digitize old tape libraries. The front-panel composite AV inputs make it straightforward to connect a camcorder or secondary source for dubbing. Hi-Fi Stereo audio support gives it significantly better audio fidelity than standard VHS decks of the same era, making it preferable for Hi-Fi recorded tapes. These decks are increasingly sought after by collectors and archivists as working consumer VHS hardware becomes harder to find.
This Sony SLV-N60 Hi-Fi Stereo VHS VCR has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. The unit shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with age and use — the exterior chassis is intact with no major scuffs or cracks visible. All front-panel controls, transport buttons, RCA inputs, and the tape door appear intact and undamaged. No remote control, cables, or manual are included.
