Lot of 100 raw CIGS thin-film solar cells manufactured by Solopower. Each cell measures 14.5 x 1.5 inches on flexible stainless steel substrate and outputs 0.5V with estimated power output of 1.25 to 1.5 watts per cell.

Applications
These cells are used in DIY solar panel construction, research, and prototyping. Solopower SL1 cells were designed for integration into 60-cell solar panels. Raw cells must be encapsulated before outdoor deployment. Historically used in flexible solar applications requiring thin-profile, lightweight solutions.

This lot of 100 Solopower CIGS thin-film solar cells is new old stock that came directly from the Solopower manufacturing plant in San Jose, California. The cells have not been installed or used. We do not have a manufacturer specification sheet for these cells, but we measured each cell at 0.50 volts open-circuit. For current and wattage estimates: these are the same cells Solopower used in their SL1 solar panels, which used 60 cells per panel to produce 75–90 watts — putting each cell at roughly 2.5 to 3 amps and 1.25 to 1.5 watts. The cells are raw and uncoated; they will need to be encapsulated before outdoor or weather-exposed use. Photos show the cells in excellent physical condition with no visible defects, damage, or oxidation on either the photovoltaic face or the stainless steel backing.
