Description
SMC IDF3C Refrigerated Air Dryer AFM4000 Mist Separator 100V R12 w/ Drain Hose
The SMC IDF3C is a compact refrigerated air dryer designed to remove moisture from compressed air lines by chilling the air to near dew point, condensing the water vapor, and automatically draining it away. It ships with an SMC AFM4000 mist separator mounted at the outlet to provide a second stage of filtration, capturing residual oil mist and particulates before the dry air enters downstream equipment or processes.

Applications
Refrigerated air dryers like the SMC IDF3C are standard equipment in industrial compressed air systems where moisture in the air line would cause problems downstream — corroding pneumatic tools, damaging sensitive sensors, fouling valves, or contaminating spray finishes. They are commonly used in semiconductor fabrication facilities, precision machining shops, electronics assembly, laboratory pneumatic systems, and general manufacturing where dry, clean instrument air is needed. The IDF3C is a smaller-capacity unit suited to low-flow applications such as individual machine drops, benchtop tools, or laboratory instrument supply lines. The included AFM4000 mist separator adds a downstream coalescing filter stage to catch any residual oil aerosol from the upstream compressor, making the IDF3C/AFM4000 combination a complete point-of-use air conditioning solution. SMC is a leading Japanese pneumatics manufacturer whose air preparation equipment is widely used in factory automation and semiconductor production environments throughout the world.
This SMC IDF3C Refrigerated Air Dryer was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. The unit has been visually inspected and photographed. The gray cabinet is in good cosmetic condition with no obvious damage noted. The SMC AFM4000 mist separator mounted at the rear OUT port, the drain hose, and the power cord are all present and included. Some light surface wear typical of used industrial equipment may be present. Please review all photos carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
