Applications
Thermal transfer fax machines like the UX-1500R were the workhorse of office communication from the 1980s through early 2000s, before email and digital document transfer became dominant. These machines transmitted documents over standard telephone lines, allowing remote offices, service centers, legal firms, medical practices, and business operations to send and receive paper documents instantly. The thermal printing process was economical and required only roll paper, making these units popular across industries. Today, vintage fax machines remain of interest to collectors of office equipment and retro technology, and can serve as replacement or backup devices in environments that still rely on facsimile transmission, or as parts donors for repair projects.
This Sharp UX-1500R Facsimile Machine has been powered on but was not fully tested and is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. It is not guaranteed to operate and should be evaluated by the buyer before use. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
