Applications

The CP-950 is a passive bookshelf speaker designed to be driven by a stereo amplifier or AV receiver — a common pairing in home audio and home theater setups. Sharp produced speaker systems like this primarily through the 1980s and into the 1990s, typically bundled with or sold alongside their component stereo systems. Today these speakers are sought by enthusiasts restoring vintage Sharp or Japanese-brand component systems, as well as buyers looking for compact, affordable passive speakers for a secondary room system or workshop audio setup. They connect via bare speaker wire and work with any amplifier or receiver with a standard speaker output.
