The Schreiber 1000AC is an air-cooled process water chiller rated at 10 tons (120,000 BTU/hr) of cooling capacity. It uses a twin refrigeration circuit — two independent 5-ton systems sharing a common cabinet — and includes an integral fluid pump rated at 70 GPM at 38 PSI. Power is 460VAC, 3-phase at 25A FLA, and the unit is ARI-rated at 44°F chilled water output at 95°F ambient. Applications

The twin-circuit design provides redundancy and allows partial-load operation, which was a selling point of the TrueTon line for facilities needing reliable uptime. This Schreiber 1000AC Air-Cooled 10-Ton Water Chiller is being sold in as-found condition with a known refrigerant issue: the system has a slow refrigerant (Freon) leak that will need to be located, repaired, and the system recharged before the chiller can be returned to service. The unit has not been repaired or recharged by us. Externally, the cabinet is in typical used condition with general surface wear and some weathering. The condenser coils show significant dirt and debris buildup and will need a thorough cleaning before operation — photos show the coil condition clearly. The control panel, water connections (return, discharge, reservoir fill), sight glass level gauge, overflow port, reservoir drain valve, and power disconnect switch are all present and intact as shown in the photos.
