The Ruud Lighting ICM2640 is a 22-inch medium low bay HID light fixture designed for 240V operation with a 400W pulse start metal halide (PSMH) lamp. The gear housing is die-cast aluminum with a thermal chamber that physically separates the ballast and electrical components from the lamp cavity.

Medium low bay HID fixtures like the ICM2640 are standard equipment in warehouses, manufacturing floors, gymnasiums, retail spaces, and covered loading docks — anywhere with mounting heights roughly in the 15- to 25-foot range where a wide, diffuse light pattern is needed without harsh direct glare. Pulse start metal halide lamps were a significant step forward from standard probe-start metal halide technology in the late 1990s and early 2000s, offering faster warm-up and restrike times, longer lamp life, and better lumen maintenance over the lamp's service life. Ruud Lighting (based in Racine, Wisconsin) produced this ICM series low bay during that same era, and fixtures like this are still commonly found in service and are fully rebulbable with current 400W PSMH lamps. The hook-mount, cord-and-plug configuration makes installation straightforward in facilities already wired for pendant-hung HID fixtures.
This Ruud Lighting ICM2640 22in Medium Low Bay HID fixture has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The white powder-coat housing and bell reflector are clean with minor surface wear consistent with prior use and storage. The acrylic refractor panel is intact and undamaged. The 400W PSMH lamp is installed and included, and the cord and twist-lock plug are present. The rating plate is legible and shows the factory PASS test sticker (dated 01/07/02).
