Description
Rucker & Kolls 1032 Xynetics Stepping Wafer Prober No Scope 9.75in Stage 110V
The Rucker & Kolls Model 1032 is a stepping wafer prober manufactured by Xynetics (a Rucker & Kolls company). This unit powers on and the stage responds to LOAD and ALIGN button commands, but it has not been fully tested at our facility and should not be considered turn-key — it may require additional components, probe cards, or technician setup to return to full production use. No microscope is included; the Olympus Japan mount bracket is present and attached.

Applications
Stepping wafer probers like the Rucker & Kolls 1032 are used in semiconductor fabrication and wafer-level electrical testing. The prober positions a wafer on a vacuum chuck and steps it die-by-die under a probe card, allowing a tester to make electrical contact with individual die across the wafer without dicing. This class of prober was a mainstay of 1980s and early 1990s semiconductor production lines and R&D labs, used to perform parametric testing, continuity checks, and functional die screening before packaging. The 1032 supports inker systems that physically mark failing die for visual reference during subsequent sort operations. These probers are still sought after for small-volume production, university semiconductor labs, failure analysis, and R&D environments where older process nodes or lower wafer volumes don't justify modern fully-automated prober capital. The unit accepts a standard 3-inch microscope mount, compatible with Olympus and other common inspection microscopes used in wafer probing stations of this era.
This Rucker & Kolls Model 1032 (Xynetics) Stepping Wafer Prober has been inspected and appears to be in good cosmetic condition. It powers on and the stage moves when the LOAD and ALIGN buttons are pressed. We are not able to fully test it here, so it should not be considered turn-key — it may require additional components, probe cards, or setup to return to full operation. The unit has no microscope; the Olympus Japan mount bracket is present but no scope body is included. The orange stage, vacuum chuck, pneumatic system, inker panel, and 7 PBR parameter panel all appear complete and intact. This unit requires freight shipment or local pickup — it cannot ship parcel.
