Description
Rackmount 19" Recirculating Water Cooler Magnetek H285 1/3 HP 200-230/460V
This is a 19-inch rackmount recirculating water cooling system designed to provide liquid cooling within a standard rack cabinet. The unit houses a Magnetek Century AC motor driving an internal pump that circulates water through the system. It features separate DI (deionized) water and tap water ports on the rear panel, a removable plastic reservoir tray, and a braided stainless steel flexible hose assembly — making it suited for laboratory and semiconductor tool rack installations that require active liquid cooling.

Applications
Recirculating water coolers like this unit were commonly used in laboratory and semiconductor fabrication rack systems where heat-generating equipment — such as RF power supplies, plasma sources, laser systems, or analytical instruments — required active liquid cooling. The dual-port configuration (DI water and tap water circuits) allows the system to serve equipment that demands deionized water on one loop while using tap water as the heat sink on the other, a standard arrangement in cleanroom and wet-process tool racks. The 19-inch rackmount form factor integrates directly into standard EIA rack cabinets, keeping the cooling loop self-contained within the rack. These units date from the era of rack-integrated cooling common in 1980s and 1990s laboratory and semiconductor tool installations, though similar recirculating cooler designs remain in use today for legacy tool maintenance and custom rack builds.
This Magnetek H285 19" Rackmount Recirculating Water Cooler has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The exterior shows typical handling wear — the black front panel has light surface scuffs and the aluminum side panels show marks and scratches consistent with lab or rack use. Internally, the Magnetek Century AC motor, pump assembly, plastic reservoir tray, and braided hose are all present and intact. The DI Water and Tap Water port labels on the rear panel are clear and legible. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
