The Queue Systems QU2195D12 is an upright ultra-low temperature (ULT) cryogenic freezer from Queue Systems' Cryostar line, rated to -95°C for the long-term preservation of biological samples, cell cultures, enzymes, and other temperature-sensitive materials. This unit is equipped with a liquid nitrogen (LN2) backup system for temperature maintenance during power interruptions, a front-panel LED digital temperature display, and an alarm/monitoring panel with indicators for clean filter and alarm battery status. This Queue Systems QU2195D12 Cryostar ultra-low cryogenic freezer is rated to -95°C but is no longer operational and is being sold as-is for parts or repair. The unit was tested in-house at our facility some years ago and reached -85°C at that time; however, after an extended period of storage without use, the freezer no longer cools. The compressor is not engaging — this is likely due to the unit's refrigerant self-detection circuit responding to low refrigerant charge (the system is known to need a refrigerant recharge, refrigerant QRF0060, 61.8 oz per the rating plate). There may be additional underlying issues beyond the refrigerant charge. Additionally, one of the front-panel lock keys has broken off inside the lock cylinder; the lock can currently be adjusted with a flat-head screwdriver, and the original keys are no longer available. Cosmetically, the exterior cabinet is generally clean and presentable. The interior shelves and inner door panels are intact and in clean condition. The interior side wall shows a horizontal scuff/scratch line visible in the photos. The rear refrigeration compartment, copper tubing, condenser, and wiring are accessible and visible in the photo set. A DB9 connector and screw-terminal power block are present on the rear panel.
