Applications
The Quantronix 114 is a Q-switched and free-running Nd:YAG laser system that was widely used in scientific research, materials processing, and industrial applications through the 1980s and into the 1990s. Nd:YAG (neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet) lasers at 1064 nm were the workhorses of pulsed solid-state laser technology during this period, used for tasks such as laser rangefinding research, hole drilling, scribing, interferometry, and photonics laboratory work. The 204-12Q power supply is the heart of the system — it provides the precisely controlled high-voltage pulse energy to fire the flashlamp that excites the YAG rod. Finding a replacement or parts-donor supply for a Quantronix 114 system is increasingly difficult given the age of the platform, making this cabinet a valuable source of components including high-voltage capacitors, transformers, control boards, connectors, and the water-cooling circuit.
This Quantronix 204-12Q Nd:YAG Laser Power Supply is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. The cabinet is in good cosmetic shape with no visible structural damage — the front panel, controls, and rear connector panel all appear intact. It has not been tested or powered on at our facility. The unit dates from April 1985 and shows the age and wear you'd expect from equipment of this era; the Hobbs meter reads approximately 1,058.9 total hours. Buyers should review all photos carefully and assess suitability for their repair or parts needs. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
