This is the Polaroid MP-3 Camera Accessory #216 — a 5-inch (127mm) f/4.7 Tominon lens mounted in a Copal leaf shutter, sold as a complete lensboard assembly for the Polaroid MP-3 Industrial View Land Camera. The Tominon is a multi-element lens designed specifically for the MP-3's copy/macro work, and the Copal shutter provides stepless aperture control and a full range of timed speeds plus Bulb. The assembly mounts directly to the MP-3's front standard via its square lensboard.

Applications
The Polaroid MP-3 Industrial View Land Camera was a large-format copy and close-up camera produced by Polaroid Corporation from the 1960s through the 1980s. It was widely used in scientific, industrial, medical, and laboratory settings for document reproduction, photomicrography, product photography, and film recording from oscilloscope screens and other instrumentation. The MP-3 accepts interchangeable lensboard assemblies, allowing users to swap focal lengths for different copy distances and magnification ratios. The 127mm f/4.7 Tominon in Copal shutter — accessory #216 — is the standard general-purpose lens for the system, suited to copy work at moderate-to-large reproduction ratios. MP-3 cameras and their lenses remain in use today in labs and darkrooms that retain Polaroid instant film setups, and the Tominon lenses are also sought by large-format photographers for use on other cameras that accept Copal-shuttered lensboards.
This Polaroid MP-3 #216 Tominon 127mm f/4.7 lens with Copal shutter has been inspected and is in excellent used condition. The shutter fires correctly at all speeds and the aperture blades open and close properly. The lens glass is clean with no scratches. The lensboard and shutter body show minor handling wear consistent with age but are otherwise very clean. Includes the original Polaroid box, a cable release, and the front lens cap.
