This is a 13.75-inch diameter plastic 16mm film reel made by Plastic Reel Corp, a US manufacturer that produced standard-gauge reels for the 16mm projection and archival market. It is empty and ready to accept a roll of 16mm film.

Applications
16mm film reels in the 13.75-inch size are standard takeup and supply reels used with 16mm film projectors, editing equipment, and film winders. The 16mm format was introduced by Kodak in 1923 as a lower-cost alternative to 35mm and became the dominant format for educational, industrial, and non-theatrical film distribution through the mid-20th century. A 13.75-inch reel holds approximately 1,600 feet of 16mm film, enough for a roughly 44-minute film at 24 frames per second. These reels are compatible with a wide range of 16mm projectors and editing equipment, including machines by Bell & Howell, Bolex, Eiki, Elmo, and similar manufacturers that accept standard 13.75-inch reels. Today they remain in use by film archivists, collectors, schools, museums, and cinematographers who work with 16mm film stocks.
This Plastic Reel Corp 16mm film reel has been inspected and is in good used condition. The photos show two reels — one dark gray and one light gray — both of the same 13.75-inch size, and the unit shipped may be either color. The center hub area on the dark gray reel shows some white label residue around the hub ring, and there is minor surface wear on both reels consistent with normal use and storage.
