This is a stainless steel ultra-high vacuum (UHV) Conflat (CF) flange tee assembly combining components from two well-known vacuum hardware manufacturers: Perkin-Elmer and MDC (MDC Vacuum Products / MDC MFG). The tee configuration provides three CF-flanged ports in a compact inline body, allowing a vacuum system line to be split or a third port added for gauging, valving, or additional process connections.

Applications
Conflat (CF) flanges are the standard connection hardware for ultra-high vacuum systems, achieving leak rates below 10⁻¹⁰ Torr·L/s through a knife-edge-into-copper-gasket metal seal. Tee fittings like this one are used throughout UHV plumbing to branch a vacuum line — common applications include adding an ion gauge port, a residual gas analyzer (RGA) connection, a gate valve, or a secondary pump port to an existing vacuum line. This type of hardware is found in surface science instruments (XPS, AES, LEED), thin-film deposition systems (e-beam evaporators, sputter coaters), particle accelerator beamlines, mass spectrometers, and semiconductor process equipment. This Perkin-Elmer / MDC Stainless Steel UHV Conflat Flange Tee has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The knife-edge sealing surfaces on all three CF flanges look clean and intact with no visible galling or damage. The stainless steel body shows normal surface handling marks and light scuffing consistent with lab use, but there is no corrosion, cracking, or deformation. Hardware visible in photos.
