Applications
The WV-3110 is a broadcast-lineage shoulder-mount camera from the era when tube- and early CCD-based color video cameras were transitioning into professional broadcast, surveillance, and industrial video use. Cameras of this type were used in closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, industrial monitoring, broadcast ENG field production, and institutional video recording environments. The 12.5–75mm f/1.4 zoom range made this style of camera well-suited for medium-to-long distance surveillance and studio-style framing. Today, units like this are sought by vintage video enthusiasts, retro broadcast collectors, film and TV prop departments, and operators of legacy CCTV infrastructure who maintain equipment from this generation. The RCA composite output connects directly to period-correct monitors and VTRs, or through a composite-to-HDMI converter for modern display use.
This Panasonic WV-3110 Color Video Camera has been tested at our facility and outputs live color video through its RCA connection. There is a known defect with the zoom toggle: the "T" (telephoto) direction works, but the "W" (wide) direction does not respond. All other controls function as expected — white balance, red/blue color balance dials, indoor/outdoor exposure switch, recording button, fade-in button, and iris control all operate normally. The camera shows cosmetic wear consistent with its age and prior use. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
