Applications

VRLA sealed lead-acid batteries in the 12V / 33Ah class are widely used in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), emergency lighting systems, electric mobility equipment (scooters, wheelchairs), alarm and security systems, and solar/renewable energy storage. The nonspillable, maintenance-free design makes them well suited for stationary standby power as well as cyclic deep-discharge applications. Panasonic's LC-LA series batteries were produced by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. and were commonly specified in commercial UPS cabinets, telecom battery strings, and medical standby power systems from the 1990s through the 2000s. Replacement batteries in this voltage and capacity range remain in active demand for legacy UPS units, mobility devices, and off-grid energy systems.
