Applications

The palmOne LifeDrive was introduced in 2005 as one of Palm's most ambitious handhelds, combining a 4GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Palm OS 5 in a single device targeted at mobile professionals who wanted to carry documents, media, and contacts in one unit. It was positioned as a true mobile manager rather than a simple organizer. The LifeDrive represented the late era of the standalone PDA market, just before smartphones rendered dedicated handhelds largely obsolete. Today, units like this are sought by Palm OS collectors, retro-computing enthusiasts, and technicians looking to source replacement screens, batteries, housing components, or internal drives. It is also of interest to hobbyists experimenting with Palm OS software and development.
