The Omron CRT1-ID16 is a 16-channel digital input module for the CRT1 CompoBus/D Remote Terminal series. It connects to a CompoBus/D (DeviceNet) network master and transmits the on/off status of up to 16 discrete 24V DC input signals back to the host PLC or controller. The module mounts on standard DIN rail and is configured via front-panel rotary switches for word and node address assignment.

Applications
The CRT1-ID16 is part of Omron's CRT1 CompoBus/D Remote Terminal family, designed for distributed I/O applications in factory automation systems. It is used to extend the I/O reach of Omron CS1, CJ1, and CV-series PLCs by placing input nodes close to the field devices — sensors, pushbuttons, and limit switches — rather than running long signal runs back to a central control panel. CompoBus/D is Omron's implementation of DeviceNet, a widely adopted industrial fieldbus standard based on CAN, enabling up to 64 nodes per network with deterministic scan times. This type of remote I/O module is common in assembly lines, material handling, conveyor systems, and general machine control where modular, distributed wiring is required.

This Omron CRT1-ID16 CompoBus/D Remote Terminal Input Module was removed from a large industrial controller system and is in good used condition. The housing is intact with no cracks or significant damage. The module shows normal wear consistent with installed service use, including light surface marks on the enclosure. The 16-channel terminal strip is present and the labeled wiring leads remain attached. DIN rail mounting clip and latch appear fully functional.
