Applications

Token-Ring PCMCIA cards were used for network connectivity in laptops and portable workstations during the 1990s and early 2000s, primarily in enterprise environments and IBM-compatible systems supporting Token-Ring topology. The Olicom OC-3221 provides compatibility with PCMCIA/PC Card slots on legacy portable devices. Token-Ring networking has been superseded by Ethernet technology in modern systems.
