The Leybold Trivac D2.5E is a compact, oil-sealed dual-stage rotary vane vacuum pump capable of reaching an ultimate pressure of 2×10⁻³ mbar. Built by Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum in Germany, it is driven by a Hanning Elektro-Werke single-phase motor and accepts universal 100–240V AC input, making it compatible with both North American and international power. This unit has been tested and ran good at 208V AC at our facility.

Applications
The Trivac D2.5E belongs to Leybold's long-running Trivac E series of small dual-stage rotary vane pumps, which have been widely used as both standalone roughing pumps and as the backing pump in turbomolecular pump systems. Common applications include laboratory vacuum systems, analytical instrumentation (mass spectrometers, electron microscopes), thin-film coating and PVD systems, freeze-drying equipment, semiconductor process tools, and general-purpose vacuum requirements in research and industrial settings. The KF-16 (NW16) inlet is a standard small-bore ISO-KF flange connection found on a wide range of vacuum chambers and instruments, making this pump a straightforward drop-in for many existing setups. Its universal voltage motor allows operation on 110V single-phase shop power or 200–240V without rewiring beyond a capacitor selection, a practical feature in multi-site lab environments. Note that while this pump ran well during testing, rotary vane pumps that have been in service may benefit from a rebuild kit (new vanes, seals, and oil) to restore full ultimate pressure performance.
This Leybold Trivac D2.5E (PN 140001) dual-stage rotary vane vacuum pump has been tested and ran good at 208V AC. It will be shipped oil-drained — the buyer will need to fill it with the appropriate vacuum pump oil before use. While the pump ran during testing, it may need a rebuild kit to fully reach factory ultimate pressure specs; please factor this into your purchase decision. The unit shows typical wear for its age: some surface discoloration and staining on the pump body casing, with the motor and overall structure in solid shape.
