The Nova 620S is a rackmount SD time base corrector (TBC) designed for professional broadcast and post-production video environments. Applications
Time base correctors were essential equipment in broadcast television stations, production houses, and post-production facilities from the 1980s through the analog SD era. A TBC sits between a VTR (U-matic, Betacam, VHS, or similar deck) and the downstream broadcast infrastructure, correcting the timing instabilities — jitter, skew, and dropout artifacts — that occur when replaying recorded tape. The Nova 620S's reference input allows it to sync to a facility's house black burst reference signal, making the corrected output genlockable and compatible with downstream broadcast switchers and routing equipment.
