The Nicolet Magna-IR 560 is a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer manufactured by Nicolet Instrument Corporation of Madison, Wisconsin. FTIR spectrometers measure the absorption of infrared light across a range of wavelengths to identify chemical compounds, characterize materials, and perform quantitative analysis — producing a molecular "fingerprint" that can be matched against reference libraries. This unit powers on and displays active green indicator lights for Power, Laser, and Source. No further spectral or functional testing has been completed. The plastic housing around the sliding sample compartment door is cracked in two places (clearly shown in photos). Does not include a computer or software.
